Le président américain Donald Trump a menacé mardi de couper l’aide financière des Etats-Unis aux Palestiniens, qui s’élève jusqu’à présent à plus de 300 millions de dollars par an.
« Nous payons les Palestiniens DES CENTAINES DE MILLIONS DE DOLLARS par an sans reconnaissance ou respect » de leur part, a tweeté Donald Trump.
It’s not only Pakistan that we pay billions of dollars to for nothing, but also many other countries, and others. As an example, we pay the Palestinians HUNDRED OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS a year and get no appreciation or respect. They don’t even want to negotiate a long overdue…

« Ils ne veulent même pas négocier un traité de paix attendu depuis longtemps avec Israël », a-t-il ajouté. « Nous avons dégagé la question de Jérusalem, la partie la plus difficile de la négociation (…) Mais puisque les Palestiniens ne sont plus disposés à parler de paix, pourquoi devrions-nous leur verser des paiements massifs à l’avenir ? » a-t-il encore tweeté.
